DownStream Services, Inc.'s temporary Traffic Control solutions are designed
by our in-house Traffic Control Specialist, in accordance with the latest Manual
on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and local agencies standards.
Once the project's location is established, our Traffic Control Specialist evaluates
and designs a safe and effective plan to maintain proper traffic flow through the
work zone. Using the combination of Google™ Earth and onsite reconnaissance,
CAD drawings are drafted and layered with aerial maps showing accurate road
layout and traffic control to be implemented.
Education is key for safe and proper traffic control. Our Traffic Control Specialist
supports, guides, and ensures that all regulations and standards are followed per
plan. Each plan is reviewed with the field crew prior to mobilization to give further
instruction and direction. DownStream Services, Inc.'s requires that all personnel
participating in flagging must be certified by the American Traffic Safety Services
Association (ATSSA).
