DownStream Services, Inc. is currently in the process of conducting Hydro-jetting and cleaning of approximately 500,000 linear feet and CCTV Inspections of approximately 50,000 linear feet of sewer lines for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest (NAVFAC SW) at MCB Camp Pendleton. Serving as one of the world's largest amphibious training bases, MCB Camp Pendleton spans over 125,000 acres, consisting of several ranges and various geographical terrains.

MCB Camp Pendleton contains approximately 570,000 linear feet of wastewater pipelines, 61 sewage lift stations, 10 oily waste pump stations, and 9 sewage treatment plants which have been divided into 9 Tributary Areas.

DownStream Services, Inc.'s scope of services has assisted in the ongoing stages of improvements to the Base's sewage collection system. DownStream Services, Inc. has been responsible for implementing all necessary work control procedures to ensure proper completion and tracking within the specified time limits and industry guidelines as with all previous contracts with NAVFAC SW. DownStream Services, Inc. has been responsible for cleaning the designated sewer lines no more than one week prior to the scheduled CCTV Inspections. DownStream Services, Inc.'s field crews continue to identify and prioritize the necessary repairs and structural deficiencies, adhering to the Commanding Officer's Readiness Reporting System (CORRS) point value system. DownStream Services, Inc. has been working closely with Base personnel, including active duty military, DOD civilians, and the FMD QA/QC Contractor by providing project management and coordination of meetings to discuss and resolve project issues.

Project Challenges:

  • The sewer pipelines and associated Manholes are located in accessible and non-accessible areas; many of the undisturbed areas are identified as sensitive habitats.
  • Security Clearance (Rapid Gate) for all DownStream Services, Inc.'s employees
